It's actually a year now since the tartan party and everyone still tells me how they enjoyed it so, here I am one year on, better late than never as they say, thanking everyone for a great night.
Thanks to all the guests, the bar staff, Margaret, Sam and Jenny for all the food.
Thanks to all the musicians - Tim Robinson piping us in at the start, Bill's choreography, two great sets from the amazing Honkytonks and the Kaos Theory [ with a standing ovation ] and a big thanks to my colleagues in the Sneakers. Thanks to Bill Stevenson and also to Jenny for everything.

See you at new year, all the best
Billy

On behalf of Paulton Concert band, may I say a big thankyou to the Mardons Social Club for all your support extended in connection with our recent concert performed on your premises .

As far as the band is concerned it was a vey successful concert and I thank you all for your support you gave us in advertising, being our hosts for the evening and the photographs which we will always keep in the band archives. The newspaper reports were outstanding and this is the biggest amount of publicity the band has received for a long time.

Again many thanks and I hope that we can peform again in the near future at your premises.

Yours faithfully
Rodney Williams
Chairman - Paulton Concert Band

Just a quick note to say a huge thank you for supporting the Ethan Smith Trust. Your kind efforts and donations have made a fantastic contribution to our fundraising for Ethan. The kindness shown to Ethan by local people and businesses such as you has been overwhelming and much appreciated.

I am sure you would agree it was a great musical evening and enjoyed by all. Your effort helped to ensure it was our best fundraising event to date with a grand total raised of £3940.70. Quite an amazing figure for just one evening.

Fundraising has gone so well we have been able to, with confidence book his operation in America and organise flights and accommodation. We know this operation will give him the chance of an independent life he so deserves.

Thank you so much for your support.

Just a note to thank you on behalf of the rest of the band for giving us the opportunity to play at the club on 5th March, The night was great for us as it gave us a chance to play in a decent sized venue for a change, We managed to pick up a couple of bookings on the night and we are getting good reviews in the Weston Super Mare area where the rest of the band hail from. All the lads thought the club was great, It makes a change to go somewhere that is well managed and inviting. Please pass on our best wishes to the gentleman behind the bar who was very hospitable and more than helpful. We all agreed that It would be great to play your club again.

Donations like this enable us to continue giving a high standard of care to those families who have been affected by a loved one suffering from dementia and we appreciate them very much. Please pass on our sincere thanks to all those concerned for their kindness in supporting your fantastic fundraising event.

Many thanks also to the people that attended, also thanks to everyone that gave prizes or donated monies. The total raised for the Friday including including the raffles and donations also the admission to the event of which we would like to thank Roger Jones for the painting he gave to the entry draw was: £2039. On the following night Mardons donated the raffle takings which came to £125. A collection was also taken at Mardons on the Saturday night and this amounted to £105, a grand total of £2269. Over the years Dorothy House Hospice has received a grand total of £4,958 from Mardons Social Club! This exceedingly generous sum helps us continue to provide free care, every day, to more than 800 families coping with life threatening illness either in the comfort of their own home or at the hospice in Winsley. Many of our patients live in the Midsomer Norton/Radstock area so that the money raised by the club goes to give care to local people in the community.

As only 40% of our funding comes from the NHS we rely on the support of local clubs like Mardon’s, for financial help. Please pass on our grateful thanks to everyone who has contributed so that we can care when it counts. Dorothy House is only one of the local charities to be supported by the club and we have all benefited greatly from your enthusiasm and hard work to raise money.
